I think a Football Club as a DAO would be an interesting experiment.

  • @afomi Greater access is good, but how to assess or measure?
  • @Kind Spruce it might be about getting the right information, not just more information, though agreed that World Cup requires special attention.

FIFA should be governed with greater transparency and accountability than it is today.

1 suggestion on what needs work
  • @afomi Good claim, but I'm not informed as to the current state of things.

Major decisions affecting world football should be subject to greater independent oversight and public accountability.

2 suggestions on what needs work
  • @Steady Aspen could be helpful, though might be a cost the public doesn't wish to bear, which creates further corruption
  • @Kind Spruce mostly agree, but this might even drive the costs up more and add an extra administrative layer

FIFA should be fundamentally restructured to reduce opportunities for corruption and increase representation from players, fans, and independent stakeholders.

2 suggestions on what needs work
  • @afomi Unsure
  • @Steady Aspen not a bad idea, the question is simply how to do it, not only for lack of trying

Football do have a voice, it is simply lossy - in the information sense - due to the concentration of power between fans (customers) and organizations (owners)

1 suggestion on what needs work
  • @Kind Spruce a good core idea, though language could be clarified

Commercial success may sometimes lead to compromising the integrity of the sport because that's what puts fans in the seats.

2 suggestions on what needs work
  • @Kind Spruce It sounds like its inviting unethical actions in the sport for profit.
  • @Steady Aspen is it promoting commerce over integrity, or warning against it?
